Blog Contest - Fast Draw

"I hope this handgun is a nine-shooter!"
Still one week remaining in the Haiku contest.  With no activity in a few days, time to mix it up a bit.

What does that mean?  Well, how about a "Fast Draw" for a Kindle version of Hyde's Wargaming Compendium?  I have the Kindle version in addition to the hard copy and it is quite handy having it available on the iPad.

Anyone who has submitted at least one Haiku gets one entry in this random drawing.  Bluebear Jeff with four Haiku receives four entries out of the 12 received thus far.

Sometimes the odds are not favorable but you succeed despite the odds.

And the winner is:   Michael Peterson!

Congratulations, Michael!  If you can send me your email address, I'll send details on how to collect.  If you do not want the Kindle version, let me know and I will draw again.

Thanks for playing!

  2. Oh my goodness, HOW EXCITING! My email address is mad padre (at) gmail (dot) com. I would prefer the Kindle version as the thought of your postage charges would make me feel terrible guilty.

    1. Michael, it is on the way! Remember, you are still in the running for the hard copy give-away on the 30th.

  3. Ah, Jonathan, I was just going to leave a note advising that I do NOT have a kindle so that if there needed to be a re-draw to leave me out of it.

And I'll add my "congratulations" to Michael.

PS, besides which I think that my haiku were quite good in a very Japanese way . . . so I'm still hoping to win the hardback.

    1. Jeff, I have no Kindle either but it works perfectly well on the iPad. I enjoyed your haiku!

    2. *grin* . . . and no iPad either . . . nor a laptop or smart phone. All I have is an old desktop computer. I guess that I'm a bit of a Luddite when it comes to tech stuff.

Glad that you enjoyed my haiku (but some of the others were pretty good too).

  5. Congrats to Michael. I got the book awhile ago with some credit on amazon and have not been disappointed. I started with the photography section.
