Figures are Artizan and this makes the second unit of these figures to be fielded for the project. Very fine sculpting with virtually no flash.
Having not seen the Reconquista project on either gaming table nor painting desk since last winter, I should make a point of getting this project back into regular rotation.
Painting them sure beats binning them, and of course brings the Reconquista project back up for possible tabletop time!
ReplyDeleteIndeed, it does but next off the painting desk will be a few items from you favorite period.
DeleteInspirational work as always, Jonathan. Good to see you returning to this project.
ReplyDeleteI always appreciate your kind comments and support, Dean!
DeleteWith a number of projects, it is difficult to keep them all in the rotation. Sometimes I feel like a juggler with not enough hands!
Lovely work on the Moors - the Artizan range is excellent!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, the Artizan figures are crisply sculpted and a pleasure to paint.
DeleteVery nice, I do like the Artizan figures.
ReplyDeleteI like them too!
DeleteVery pleasing color-scheme with the dark blue offset against that flag. Your suggested logistical solution might be just the thing I need to counter my increasing storage problems. (Painted miniatures often move the gaming club)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I like the dark blue to somewhat offset the predominance of white/off white robed units. Getting another unit into the Painted pile is always a good solution!
DeleteLovely job, they look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteFabulous looking unit Jon well done Sir!
ReplyDeleteArtizan figures are great but a little pricey?
cheers,
Thank you very much, Phil!
DeleteAs for price, Artizan figures can be purchased through Caliver Books in the UK for a small discount and free shipping. Considering that option, they are not that badly priced. I do not have many of them but the ones I have, are very nice models.
Splendid looking work, Jonathan. I like the way the blue robes tie the unit together, while the colour of the shields adds variety. Nice looking unit, and typically eclectic of your output.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Michael!
Delete"Typically eclectic" just about sums it up, for sure.
Yet more fine looking regiments! I really do need to get back to Reconquista project someday!
