A small, eclectic mix of stuff off the painting desk today.
First up, is a two-figure stand of mounted Saracen cavalry from Black Tree Design. My plan for this stand is to use it as a native warlord command stand for the Great Game project. With some of the highly ornamented noble cavalry from Foundry's Sikh Wars' range, I figured these guys would fit right in.
Next off the painting desk are six, Spanish infantry in campaign gear for the Spanish-American War project. These half-dozen figures will be used (obviously) as prone markers. Still a handful of prone figures to hit the painting desk including both Americans and Spanish. Figures are Old Glory.

Lovely work, and I especially like those Saracen cavalry figures. Very dynamic-looking.
Some superb work here sir. Those Saracens look fantastic!
Agreed, especially the Saracen base...
Love those cavalry. Well done!
Looking good Jonathan. The Black Tree figures are very nice.
Really love Saracen base!
I like all of your stuff, but that Saracen base just has everything and I would put that as being something special.
Very nice, love the Spanish infantry...
Really nice Saracen base! Useful Spanish too.
Best Iain
Lovely paintwork on both but I have to say the Saracens are sublime.
Like the prone Spanish figures , very useful .
Very nice! Love the prone marker figures.
That dip really worked for you on the horse armor. Well done!
Thanks, Lawrence! I like the cavalry too!
Thank you, Darren! The BTD Fantasy Saracen range looks pretty good.
Thanks!
Seems the Saracens are the winners in this grouping!.
Thank you, Nathan! I agree about BTD figures; some of my favorite figures.
Thank you!
Norm, you are very kind.
Yay! I vote for the Spanish! Thank you, Phil.
Saracen riders are always a challenge, and you did very well on these !
Thanks, Iain! The Spanish markers will prove useful if I ever get them to the table!
Much appreciated, Dannoc!
Thanks, Tony! The markers will prove useful...some day.
Thanks, Ray!
Thanks, Scott! For me, the Dip is the great equalizer.
Thank you, Phil. The REAL challenge is figuring out how you paint skin tones so well!
Ok, perhaps not an "equalizer" but it gets me progressing in the correct direction...
The Saracens look good, and a nice counter point to the cloth and leather that otherwise dominates the collection.
I agree! I planned to have this warlord leading Sikhs and Afghans on the NWF but they could see service in the Reconquista too.
Very nice I particularly like the Arabs.
Cheers, Ross
Thanks, Ross!
Nicely done Jonathan. It is always good to clear the odd pieces off the painting table.
Yes, it a good therapy. Unfortunately, there is plenty more where these came from!
I agree, the horse armor came out very well. I noticed it right away. 😀
Thanks, Stew!
