Merry Christmas to you, Graham! Yes, we may creep up toward freezing by Saturday afternoon. Currently 6F at the house and snowing like crazy. Windchill yesterday was -31F!
Thanks for another year of entertaining blogging, Jon, and best wishes to you and your family for a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year! Sounds like you will be having a white one!
The weather is challenging, for sure. Lots of snow in arctic temperatures makes holiday travel difficult for many. Australia at Christmas looks inviting.
Season's greeting in first Welsh and now Finnish? My Google translate is getting a work-out today.
Having broken the ice with a remote SYW game and following up with a pair of ECW battles, I expect we will see more remote gaming opportunities in the New Year. With you offering to host a game next week, we may be busy at the remote table in 2023.
And Merry Christmas to you too Jonathan. I hope the big storm is not affecting you too much…and if it is be careful with shovelling snow…I can remember a previous result!
Thanks, Mark! We are getting hit the storM with lots of snow and brutally cold temperatures. There has been much shoveling of snow this winter with more on the way over the weekend. No broken leg this year. Yet. Been there; Done that!
Merry Christmas to you and your family, I very rarely leave any comments but follow your posts avidly, always plenty of inspiration to take from your blog.
Wishing you and yours a very Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year too Jon. I hope you don't suffer too much with the 'Bomb Cyclone' that's covering most of the US at present. It makes -9.5C here a week or so ago seem positively balmy.
Thank you, Steve. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
I am not sure what exactly a 'Bomb Cyclone' is but it has been very snowy and darn cold. If our lingering below zero (F) temperatures were not enough with which to contend, windchill recorded -31F on Thursday. Brr.
Apparently it is the meteorological term for the severe weather that you are experiencing Jon, due to the sudden drop in pressure and temperature creating strong winds etc. Well that's what I heard on the news today, with the weather your side of the pond being the main item.
Belated Christmas wishes from Malta Jon to you and all your loved ones! I apologise profusely for my lateness but we were so engrossed with our domestic preparations that I hardly touched my ipad these last few days.
The Season's greetings to you and yours , Tony

DeleteWhile we, in the PNW, have seen near record low temperatures with lots of snow, we have avoided the very high winds. Knock on wood!
DeleteMy sister ( in Fla) has Christmas visitors from Scotland....it is colder in Florida than it was when they left Scotland ....now that is pretty weird!
