Erzherzog Joseph Hussar Rgt #2

Austrian hussar uniforms have to be some of my favorites.  Vibrant colors and the AB Miniatures' hussars are sculpted with such panache.  Hard charging dandies, hell bent for leather.  Super figures.
These half dozen figures comprise two squadrons of Hussar Regiment #2, Erzherzog Joseph.  Uniforms for the troopers are molded in the earlier style and the animation makes for a dashing group.  Exactly the image hussars should project in my mind anyway.
Another such set of Austrian hussars is in work to accompany the 2nd.  Off the workbench soon will be the 7th Hussars.  Before the 7th appears, one more stand of 28mm Gauls/Celts will likely beat the hussars to the photo booth.

  7. Superb brushwork doubles the "hussar" effect of the excellent AB figs. Battlefield results may vary, but for my money, the Austrians win the fashion campaign.

  9. Agree on the Uniforms and the poses. Hussars are some of the liveliest bunch in the battlefield. (and critical for giving a splash of color to any Austrian army.)
