Assyrian Chariot #3 Rehab

Chariot #3 of nine goes in for a bit of rework.  Like chariots #1 and #2 before, yoke needed to be removed and flipped and one wheel needed reaffixing.  Riders needed to be resituated in their cab. Finally, some minor paint touch-ups before staining and mounting on a new base.

As I work through each of the chariots, visions of fielding these machines on the gaming table are becoming more frequent.  Spread out onto the desk are Army Lists to help in solidifying a force to build.  With enough chariots to field four Impetvs-sized BMUs of two chariots each, these four chariot elements are sufficient to complete two armies under Basic Impetvs

Three down, six to go.  Oh, and an order to Foundry is off in a call for reinforcements.

    1. The stain does a good job of bringing up the fine detailing of the model. I look forward to seeing them all rehabilitated too!

    1. Iain, you are too generous on my painting speed. Perhaps if I painting nothing else until February it might be possible to field an Assyrian army. We will see. Reworking these chariots does provide good motivation.

  7. A very successful Rehab job. Taking advantage of the Holiday sale at Foundry, I see. Assyrians and Neo-Babylonians?

    1. Thanks, Peter! For now, only Assyrians were included in the Foundry order. If nothing else, I figured Assyrians could face off against each other. What do you think about that?

  8. The paint jobs on these are really nice. The clean up work seems worth it to get these on the table.

    1. I cannot take credit for the basic paint job myself but the rework needed is worthwhile, for sure!
