One more 22 figure stand of Ashigaru spearmen rolled off the painting desk over the weekend. The project now fields Ashigaru eight spear/sword units. These Peter Pig spearmen are all sporting the red lacquered armor. With this unit, the project total reaches 22 stands plus a handful of commanders. While the mix of troop types might not yet be optimal, I should be able to field both sides for most of the Samurai Battles scenarios. I could use at least one more archer unit and one more teppo to allow greater flexibility in OB preparations. Perhaps one more mounted Samurai too?
Great Ashigaru, Jonathan! Apparently you're about to recreate Nobinaga's Unification at a scale of 1:20. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Monty! You know, things sometimes get out of hand...
DeleteNicely done Jonathan!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Phil!
DeleteHallo I am Stefano from Italy
ReplyDeleteI'm building for the period of the Punic Wars and I wonder if you had stock advanced Renegade unpainted for sale
Thanks very much
Stefano
Hi Stefano, unfortunately, I only have a few bits and bobs left over until Renegade begins producing again. I am waiting for production to resume too.
DeleteWell, if they look like these you can never have too many indeed...
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comment!
DeleteNo you cannot have enough and if they look like these then for sure not.
ReplyDeleteChristopher
Christopher, you and MiniMike have given me the courage to forge ahead. First, I need to restock spearmen!
DeleteNo, you really can't have too many ashigaru, particularly when they look as great as these.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dean!
DeleteNice work and continued amazing productivity, Jon.
ReplyDeleteOh, and it's "You can never have enough French Line Infantry",
Sheesh!! :-)
